Forced Air-Cooled Cable for EV DC Fast Charging

Series 2256/2266 High Temperature Maintenance (HTM) Self-Regulating Electric Traced Tubing is a thermally insulated fluid transport line for use in applications requiring freeze protection, viscosity maintenance, or condensation prevention, where the line may be cleaned or purged using steam or hot gasses. Each line is comprised of the following elements:
• Single or multiple process tube(s)
• High temperature, self-regulating heating element with tinned-copper braid and optional High temperature overjacket
• Heat-reflecting foil wrap
• Moisture resistant, non-wicking, inorganic fibrous glass thermal insulation
• Choice of weather protective jacket
The energy-efficient design provides
for temperature maintenance for up to 38°C at –40°C ambient. The standard product is available with a 16.4 or 32 watt per meter, 120 VAC or 240 VAC self-regulating heating element. The heating element will withstand exposure to temperatures of up to 185°C allowing the process tubes to be steam purged with 10.3 Barg saturated steam. Bundles in this series can be ap- proved by FM Approvals for use in Class I Division2, Groups B, C, and D; Class II Division 2, Groups F, and G, and Class III Division 2 as well as Class I Zone 2, Group IIB+H2 hazardous areas.
Alternate heating cables can be specified based on customer requirement and preference. These heating cables will carry specific National Approvals from the manufacturer.
